Rapper the Dream Weighs in On Chris Brown & Rihanna Collab & Forgiveness

Rapper and producer the Dream weighed in about Rihanna's "Cake" Remix and reunion with ex boyfriend Chris Brown. He also talked about how the world needs a little more forgiveness?

“It was Rih’s idea. Not only do we work together, but [Rihanna] is a friend of mine. I don’t know how she got the logistics and how it happened — maybe she’ll talk about it one day. I showed up at the studio, and it was like, ‘All right, cool, let’s finish this record.’”

“For me, it’s just music. Two talented people doing a record together, doing two records together, and that’s what it was. It wasn’t about an incident that happened. The true thing really is to forgive, and… you want to believe in people.”

“I think [the topic] that should be more on the tongues is: how do we proclaim to be a nation of forgiving, and we go by all of these rules and everything, but we can’t actually do it? It actually makes you look weaker than your adversary — if you don’t have the power to forgive, but you lie and say that you did.

“Because this is about her,” he continued. “If she can forgive, that’s where she is mentally. As a friend, it’s like, ‘Okay, cool. Let’s roll.’”

Word: Rihanna's Label Does Not Support Her "Birthday Cake" Remix

Word?: If you're a part of the population that pays for music and you actually wanted to buy Rihanna's "Birthday Cake" remix on iTunes you may be waiting for quite some time. Rumor has it that Rihanna's label Def Jam does not support the track and her decision to release the song even though they insisted she did not.Sources say Rihanna released the single against the label's wishes to prove a point. I was going to buy the song though it is very hawt track. Just too bad the label is afraid of controversy. I respect her "IDGF" attitude. What do you think?

Rihanna is currently working on the remix to her “Birthday song”. At first she hinted Christina Aguilera would be featured on it and now rumors are spreading that Chris Brown will lend his voice to the track. Whoever is on the remix it’ll definitely be a hot song. I just want to hear the finished version. Rihanna is currently rumored to be readying up a seventh studio album release.  She’s a hard working lady. Happy 24^th birthday Rihanna.

Style watch: It seems that nails are the jewelry. Between Louboutin inspired nails to wonderful range of colors, the Grammy red carpet was full of crazy nail ideas. No one else seemed to trump songbird Rihanna's 24 Karat Gold manicure that cost her a whooping 5,000 bucks.  The starter kit for this manicure will start out at $59.00 a bottle and if you want Rihanna's shade you're going to have to dish out a little more change. Rumor Has it: Rihanna Readying Full Version of "Birthday Cake"? I don't know if she really is but rumor has it she might be readying up the release of the "Talk that Talk" track "Birthday Cake". The song is a snippet on the album (& when I first heard it I thought it was broken..like where's the rest?). It would be awesome to hear the rest. Rihanna hasn't said much about the release of the full track. Producers of the track hinted at maybe the track will be released February 20th.  I don't know if she could edit it for radio play but good luck with that one. What do you think should be Rihanna's next single?

It looks like a bikini but it’s a one piece. If you want the look it’s going to cost you $350 dollars. It probably would leave so rather interesting tan lines but what do you think?

Rihanna has reason to smile. Her single “We Found Love” is still on the top of the charts for its tenth week. If she keeps this up she may beat records joining the likes of Beyonce (who’s “Irreplaceable” stayed on the charts for ten weeks), Toni Braxton, Mariah Carey and Rihanna. The single has sold 140,000 copies just last week.

In a recent interview with Look Magazine, Rihanna got a chance to address the comparisons between her and Beyonce and who she thinks her competition is in the music industry. “There’s nobody really in my league,” when probed on who she sees herself in competition with.“But there’s competition everywhere. The whole music industry is competition. There are people who like other artists, those who like me and others who like both.

Beyonce is a great artist and I feel honoured to be mentioned in the same sentence, but we’re different performers with different styles.”

Rihanna Fently has been very busy and it seems that her time is finally paying off. Billboard recently reported that the singer has sold more of her music (not including features) than any other artist. Wow! That's impressive. Check out the list below. She beat the likes of Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, and Beyonce. Is this hard for you to believe? I wouldn't have assumed it was Rihanna at number one making history. Keep in mind this list is fairly new they've been doing it for about 3-4 years but that's still impressive.
